The Little Gasparilla Property Owners Association (LGPOA) had the 2nd annual Labor Day Fishing Tournament. The event included a kids fishing clinic, captains meeting, all day tournament, awards ceremony, raffle, and dinner party. We had more than 40 kids went through the clinic. 44 boats and 117 registered anglers fished for more than just fish tales. Well over 250 people came to the party and ceremony, it was a hoot! Almost $4000 of prize money awarded. Many local sponsors helped with the cost of the event and prizes for the raffle. The money raised for the raffle will be used to clean renovate our island church.
