Reef Grill .... gets a two thumbs up!

Brenda and I had dinner at the Reef Grill, next to Ace Hardware on Placida road. We were very pleased at what we found. The prices were reasonable as compared to the Palmetto Grill which use to be there. Low priced happy hour (until 5pm) prices and selection for munchies as well as drinks. Hideaway Bay Beach Club Goings On

The snowbirds are starting to show up here at Hideaway Bay. This is the first cold weekend of the year, getting down to the 50’s at night but hitting the 70’s each day. Fishing has slowed with water temp dropping to the mid 60's. As usual the sunsets have been impressive, but they seem to be more robust in the late fall. Thanksgiving weekend we had a ton of people here, seemed to be more that most years. Our home away from home is looking better and better with improved landscaping and now two buildings painted the new color. Our new property manager Lisa is doing a great job; she seems to be very proactive and supportive.


Don’t forget about our New Years Eve party. Last year Team Lovell and friends cooked and served 140 New Your Strips, salad and potato. We plan on doing it again this year and hope we can keep the cost at $10 per person again.

We are still working on trying to get internet at every building. We may have a solution Kevin is working on. I know that would make everyone very happy. We are also suggesting to the board to replace our outdoor lighting. It would be great to upgrade those 70’s designed light globes.
