If the Tarpon are in the area
If you can find bait (crabs) to buy
If they will stay up so you can track them
If you can get close enough to cast on them
If your boat won’t spook them away
If… and it’s a big one… if they are hungry
If that hook will stick in the hard jaw
If the 100 pound monster won’t spit the hook out
If you remember to Bow to the King when it jumps, so the line won’t get cut or break in the air
If your line is good enough to drag a 100+ pound monster
If your leader and hook knot is tied properly
If sharks are not around to mess with you and your tarpon
If…Then the BIG IF, can YOU handle a 15-45 minute fight in the 90 degree heat
